Our Journey of Rising

Real transformation rarely starts with confidence. More often, it grows from the places we least expect and the battles we would never choose. My story with The UP Movement began at sixteen, after a life-altering car accident changed everything in a moment. That experience forced me to see life differently and to realize how quickly everything can shift. The journey was marked by uncertainty, physical recovery, and countless questions about who I would become in the face of loss and fear.

Years later, life deepened that lesson when my daughter was born with a serious heart condition. Hospitals, waiting rooms, and endless nights of vulnerability shaped the next chapter. In those moments, I found solace in journaling and honest reflection, searching for what it really means to keep moving forward when life doesn't cooperate.

Through these hardships, the idea for The UP Movement took root. This isn't a story polished by triumphs alone. It comes from the trenches of real life - where reflection, courage, and the decision to rise each day became lifelines. Those lessons grew into practical tools and a community for others navigating storms. Today, The UP Movement is guided by the knowledge that pain can be a turning point. We use lived experience as our foundation, offering everyone a place where hope and real help are possible. No matter your setback, you belong here, and you can Choose UP.

Founder & Guide

My journey didn't begin with a plan for a movement. It started the day my world shifted at sixteen, surviving a traumatic car accident that left me questioning everything. Each step forward became an act of determination. Years later, the birth of my daughter - and her fight through multiple heart surgeries - opened a new chapter of uncertainty and hope. Sitting in those hospital rooms prompted deep reflection about resilience and what it means to rise when pain and fear threaten to define us.

These experiences became more than hardship; they became my teachers. I realized that strength is not about avoiding storms, but choosing how we show up within them. The UP Movement is the result of this understanding - a commitment to offer tools, community, and encouragement for anyone facing their own storm. This work is my heartfelt response to the question so many of us carry: How do I keep going when life gets hard? My answer is simple, even if it isn't always easy - Choose UP, and let your next step rise from where you are. You are not alone. There is hope on the other side of struggle, and it can start today.
